Getting Around
SUBWAYS
A number of subway trains service the area and are easily reached by foot. (see list below) For any of them, assume it is a 20-40 minute ride to various destinations in lower Manhattan: length of ride will vary by train and time of day. trains run 24 hours, but will be less frequent in the middle of the night.
J train (Halsey stop) – 2 min walk
L train (Bushwick/Aberdeen stop) – 10 minutes
C train (Rockaway stop) – 15 minutes
A, M, G trains – approx 30 minutes
DRIVING
The apartment is a 5 minute drive from Exit 1 of the Jackie Robinson Parkway. This is a major artery within Brooklyn. It provides good access to locations in Queens, Westcester, and Long Island.
The Morgan entrance to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (BQE) is a 15 minute drive.
The Williamsburg Bridge to the Lower East Side is a 30 minutes drive
Street parking is usually very easy. Occasionally, one may find they need to drive as far as another block to locate parking. The city’s rules regarding alternate side of the street parking are something you will need to be aware of. If you are driving please contact me for further information.
